Koshimoto takes spit decision over Chi, grabs WBC title

FUKUOKA, Japan - Japanese challenger Takashi Koshimoto (R) won a split decision over champion Chi In Jin of South Korea to capture the WBC featherweight title at Fukuoka Kyuden Memorial Gymnasium on Jan. 29. With the victory, the 35-year-old Koshimoto became the oldest Japanese boxer to claim a world title.

    Undefeated Japanese boxer Naoya Inoue announced his decision Friday to relinquish all four bantamweight belts and move up to the super bantamweight division.
