Akira Murata, Murata Manufacturing founder, dies at 84

OSAKA, Japan - Akira Murata (file photo), the founder and honorary chairman of Japan's major electronic components maker Murata Manufacturing Co., died of pneumonia at a Kyoto hospital on Feb. 3. He was 84.
