Ex-finance minister Murayama dies at 95

TOKYO, Japan - Former finance minister Tatsuo Murayama (file photo taken in June, 1999) died on May 20, 2010. He was 95. After serving as a finance ministry official, Murayama won a House of Representatives seat on the Liberal Democratic Party ticket in 1963 and served 12 terms, holding ministerial posts in finance and welfare affairs. Ex-convict who drew attention to plight of Koreans in Japan dies

TOKYO, Japan - Kwon Hui Ro (file photo), known as Kim Hui Ro in Japan where he was born and raised, died of prostate cancer in a hospital in Busan, South Korea, on March 26, 2010. He was 81. She was 67. Asakawa was found collapsed in her hotel room in Nagoya on Jan. 17 and later confirmed dead. (Kyodo)
