Gov't panel adopts new measures to toughen penalties on architects

TOKYO, Japan - A land ministry panel is in session at the ministry on Feb. 22, The panel adopted a set of new measures, including tougher penalties on architects and construction companies, to prevent a recurrence of a scandal involving the falsification of quake-resistance structural data for condominiums and hotels.
