Russia wins Yokohama women's ekiden, Japan 3rd
YOKOHAMA, Japan - Russian anchor Alena Samokhvalova cuts the tape as her team wins the Yokohama International Women's Ekiden on Feb. 26. The Russians covered the 42.195-kilometer course across Yokohama in 2 hours, 13 minutes, 55 seconds over six legs, finishing 2:53 ahead of runner-up China. Japan came in third in 2:17:28.
