Harada to retire after this season
TOKYO, Japan - Veteran ski jumper Masahiko Harada (in photo taken when he won the gold medal at the Olympic Winter Games in Nagano in February 1998) will retire after the current season, people close to him said on March 15. Harada, who is popular in Japan for his affable personality, is one of the country's most successful ski jumpers, having made five straight Winter Olympic appearances beginning with the 1992 Albertville Games and won one individual and two team event medals.
