Ambassador says ill feelings most worrisome for Japan-China ties
BEIJING, China - Japan's outgoing Ambassador to China Koreshige Anami said at the Japanese Embassy in Beijing on March 24 that growing ill feelings between Japanese and Chinese people, rather than their governments' differences over Japan's wartime past, will be a bigger problem for the two countries in the long term. Anami made the remarks ahead of his departure next week after a five-year tenure.
