Daiichi Sankyo to acquire Zepharma from Astellas

TOKYO, Japan - Takashi Shoda (R), president of Daiichi Sankyo Co., and Masaji Oe, president of Zepharma Inc., stellas Pharma Inc.'s nonprescription drug unit, shake hands at a news conference at Daiichi Sankyo's head office in Tokyo on March 31. They announced Daiichi Sankyo will buy Zepharma for 23.5 billion yen.
