'One Seg' digital TV broadcasting begins for mobile phone users

TOKYO, Japan - A woman holds her mobile phone displaying ''One Seg,'' a new type of digital terrestrial broadcasting that started in Japan on April 1 in the upper section of the screen, and related textual information in the lower part. In the One SEg service, broadcasters use the remaining one of 13 segments of a channel while using 12 other segments for normal digital terrestrial broadcasting.
