Ozawa beats Kan to become new DPJ president
TOKYO, Japan - Ichiro Ozawa (C) shows his appreciation at a Tokyo hotel after winning the Democratic Party of Japan's presidential election. The 63-year-old Ozawa, a former party vice president, received 119 votes from the party's 192 lawmakers, while Naoto Kan, 59, a two-time party president, garnered 72 votes.
