World's oldest ice shown to media
TOKYO, Japan - A block of ice, believed to be a million years old, is shown to media at the National Institute of Polar Research in Tokyo on April 17. Japan's Antarctic exploration team drilled in Antarctica and collected the ice from 3,029 meters deep in January.
