Okinawa gov. opposes relocation plan, makes counterproposal
NAHA, Japan - Okinawa Gov. Keiichi Inamine (R) meets with Defense Facilities Administration Agency chief Iwao Kitahara (L) in Okinawa on May 4. Inamine reiterated his opposition to a plan to relocate a U.S. air station from Ginowan to the U.S. Marines' Camp Schwab in Nago, both in Okinawa, making a counterproposal to tentatively build a helipad on land at Camp Schwab.
