E. Asia nations agree on study of regional currency units
HYDERABAD, India - Japanese Finance Minister Sadakazu Tanigaki responds to questions from reporters after finance ministers from the Association of Southeast Asian Nations, Japan, China and South Korea ended their conference in Hyderabad on May 4. The ministers agreed they will examine the usefulness of creating regional currency units as one of their channels to deepen economic integration in the region.
