Nikkei loses some 400 points in morning after Wall St. slump

TOKYO, Japan - An electric stock board at a securities company in Tokyo's Marunouchi business district shows the plunge of the Nikkei Stock Average on the Tokyo Stock Exchange on May 12. The key stock index fell below the 16,500 line for the first time in about a month and a half in the morning session.
