Annan hints Japan should make gestures to ease ties with neighbors
TOKYO, Japan - U.N. Secretary General Kofi Annan speaks at the Japan National Press Club in Tokyo on May 18. He hinted that Japan should make gestures to ease its strained ties with China and South Korea mainly over history-related issues, and expressed hope that relations between the neighboring countries will be improved.
