Deep-sea research vessel calls at Osaka port
OSAKA, Japan - Japan's deep-sea research vessel Chikyu (Earth) designed to take the first-ever samples from the Earth's mantle enters Osaka port on June 16. The 57,087-ton ship owned by the Japan Marine Sciences and Technology Center will be open to the general public at the port's Tempozan quay on the weekend.
