Japan spokesman doubts credibility of Kim Young Nam remarks

TOKYO, Japan - Chief Cabinet Secretary Shinzo Abe speaks with journalists at the prime minister's official residence on June 29. The government spokesman expressed doubts about the credibility of remarks made earlier in the day by Kim Young Nam, believed to be a South Korean abductee who was married to Japanese abductee Megumi Yokota. ''In North Korea you cannot say what you think, as has been said by abduction victims returned to Japan. We should keep in mind that he made the testimony under such circumstances,'' Abe said.
