Abe visited Yasukuni in April, likely to spur debate in LDP race
TOKYO, Japan - Chief Cabinet Secretary Shinzo Abe arrives at the prime minister's official residence to attend a Cabinet session on Aug. 4. Abe, who is the frontrunner to become Japan's next prime minister, visited the war-linked Yasukuni Shrine in April this year, sources familiar with the matter said.
