Historic liner sinks off Japan ahead of repairs
WAKAYAMA, Japan - The 5,100-ton Scandinavia (file photo), a liner once used by millionaire travelers, sank Sept. 2 in the Pacific off Wakayama Prefecture as it was being towed to China for repairs before being turned into a hotel in Sweden, its country of origin, the Japan Coast Guard said.
