Japan unveils financial sanctions on N. Korea
TOKYO, Japan - Prime Minister Junichiro Koizumi (C) is seated at a regular Cabinet session, flanked by Foreign Minister Taro Aso (L) and Finance Minister Sadakazu Tanigaki on Sept. 19. The Cabinet approved plans to impose financial sanctions on North Korea in line with a U.N. Security Council resolution condemning missile launches by Pyongyang early in July.
