N. Korea to begin unloading fuel rods by year-end: U.S. scholar
BEIJING, China - Selig Harrison, a senior scholar at the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars, said in Beijing on Sept. 23 that North Korea again plans to begin unloading spent fuel rods from a nuclear plant, a necessary step for producing nuclear weapons, by the end of the year as a way to boost its diplomatic leverage. He made the remark after visiting Pyongyang.
