Top rebel leader denies stalemate in Nepal peace talks
KATHMANDU, Nepal - Pushpa Kamal Duhal, chairman of the Communist Party of Nepal (Maoist), speaks in an interview with Kyodo News on Oct. 26. Duhal, better known as Prachanda, said that Nepal's peace process has ground to a halt but will yield results within a few weeks to resolve the Himalayan nation's decade-long conflict. ''There may be a pause in the process, but the underlying current is heading for a positive solution,'' Prachanda said.
