Film on Japanese girl abducted by N. Korea debuts in Japan
TOKYO, Japan - The critically acclaimed Canadian documentary telling the story of a Japanese girl, Megumi Yokota, kidnapped by North Korean agents who became a symbol of one of Japan's most thorny diplomatic issues, hit screens across Japan on Nov. 25. Megumi's father Shigeru (R) and mother Sakie (L) read remarks on the film after its first showing at a movie theater in Tokyo's Shibuya district the same day.
