Nuclear reactor resumes operation 30 months after fatal accident
FUKUI, Japan - Photo taken on Jan. 10 shows the No. 3 reactor (fore) at Kansai Electric Power Co.'s Mihama, Fukui Prefecture, which resumed operation, two and a half years after an accident that killed five people and injured six others. The accident was blamed on pipes that had not been inspected for 28 years.
