Toshiya arrow-shooting festival in Kyoto
KYOTO, Japan - Young female archers dressed in kimono try to find the bull's eye in the Toshiya arrow-shooting festival at the Sanjusangen-do temple in Kyoto on Jan. 14. A total of 2,100 archers, including 1,900 kimono-clad, emerging adults who celebrated the coming-of-age last week, took part in the annual event. The archers try to hit a 1-meter bull's eye placed 60 meters away.
