Firetruck maker Morita offers flower-shaped extinguisher
OSAKA, Japan - Firetruck maker Morita Corp. has launched a flower-shaped fire extinguisher (ih handout photo) that can be used to put out fires in pans for cooking fried food such as tempura. The ''petals'' of the ''firefighting flower'' contain a fire-extinguishing substance and douse flames when placed inside a boiling pot of oil. A magnet is placed inside the ''stem'' part so that the extinguisher can be kept on a refrigerator or the like for convenience.
