Fake Chinese bills flood Hong Kong
HONG KONG, China - Money changer signs light up the streets of downtown Hong Kong as monetary authorities seek to cope a sharp increase of fake Chinese bills. According to Hong Kong government officials and other sources, 485 fake Chinese bills were confiscated in 2001. By 2006, the number jumped to 5,930 -- most of them in 100 yuan (1,500 yen) denominations.
