Ishikawa: youngest table tennis player to play for Japan at world c'ships
OSAKA, Japan - Kasumi Ishikawa, 14, was chosen by the Japan Table Tennis Association on Feb. 26 as a member of the Japanese national team to the World Table Tennis Championships in Zagreb, Croatia from May 21-27. At 14 years and 3 months during the Zagreb tournament, Ishikawa will be the youngest table tennis player to represent Japan at a world championships event -- 3 months younger than the record held by Ai Fukuhara in the 2003 world championships.
