Premier, 3 ministers to form Japan version of U.S. NSC
TOKYO, Japan - Prime Minister Shinzo Abe (R) receives a report from Nobuo Ishihara (L), former deputy Chief Cabinet secretary and leader of an advisory council, at the prime minister's official residence on Feb. 27 recommending that the government sets up a National Security Council patterned after the U.S. White House National Security Council. Members of the proposed council would consist of the prime minister, chief Cabinet secretary, foreign minister and defense minister.
