Japan, Russia agree to start nuke cooperation talks
TOKYO, Japan - Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe (Far R) and Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Fradkov (Far L) hold talks at the prime minister's official residence in Tokyo on Feb. 28. Abe said after the meeting that the two leaders agreed to start negotiations for a nuclear cooperation agreement which will enable Tokyo to outsource to Moscow uranium enrichment for recycling nuclear fuel.
