Georgia to increase Iraq troops to 2,000: president
TOKYO, Japan - Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili speaks at the Japan National Press Club in Tokyo on March 9. He said Georgia plans to increase the number of troops it is deploying in Iraq to serve with the U.S.-led forces to up to 2,000 from its current 850 to help stabilize the situation there.
