U.S. sets stage for release of N. Korean funds in Macao bank
TOKYO, Japan - File photo taken in December 2006 shows Banco Delta Asia SARL in Macao. The U.S. Treasury Department said on March 14 it has barred U.S. banks from doing business with the Macao bank with frozen North Korean accounts suspected of being linked to money laundering and counterfeiting, but that the move will effectively ease U.S. financial sanctions on North Korea.
