Lower house panel sets hearing date on bill toward charter revision

TOKYO, Japan - Opposition members protests to Taro Nakayama, chairman of a House of Representatives Special Committee for Research on the Constitution of Japan, over a panel decision on March 15 to hold a hearing of experts on March 22 in a step toward putting to vote a bill to set rules for a national referendum on revising the pacifist Constitution.
