Abe seeks stronger U.S. security ties in speech to SDF cadets
YOKOSUKA, Japan - Graduates of the National Defense Academy toss their caps into the air at a graduation ceremony in Yokosuka, Kanagawa Prefecture on March 18. Prime Minister Shinzo Abe told them in his address that Japan should strengthen its security alliance with the United States, citing North Korea's abductions, nuclear program and missile launches as well as other challenges in the Asia-Pacific region.
