Ishihara wins Tokyo, ruling bloc has upper hand in governor elections
TOKYO, Japan - Tokyo Gov. Shintaro Ishihara expresses his jubilation at his campaign office in Shimbashi Ward after being reelected in the poll held on April 8. Candidates backed by the ruling bloc, including Ishihara, had the upper hand in the 13 gubernatorial elections held concurrently on the day.
