Hirohito discontent with Yasukuni's honoring Class-A war criminals
TOKYO, Japan - A photo taken on April 26 shows a set of diaries kept by Ryogo Urabe, a chamberlain of the Imperial Household Agency. The diaries, donated to the major daily Asahi Shimbun, indicated that Japanese Emperor Hirohito was discontent with Yasukuni Shrine's enshrining of Class-A World War II criminals and concerned about disputes with other Asian countries over history.
