Hakuho secures yokozuna promotion, holds 2 red sea breams
TOKYO, Japan - Hakuho holds two red sea breams, a fish served in most Japanese-style celebrations, after he clinched his second consecutive title at the Summer Grand Sumo Tournament on May 26 with a victory of fellow ozeki Chiyotaikai, chalking up an unbeatable three-match lead with one day remaining in the 15-day meet. The feat all but secured his promotion to grand champion, the second Mongolian at the top sumo ranking. Currently, there is no Japanese grand champion in the traditional Japanese sport.
