Sanyo Electric to bolster lithium ion battery output

OSAKA, Japan - Sanyo Electric Co. Board Director Mitsuru Honma says in an interview with Kyodo News on June 4 that the company will bolster output of lithium ion batteries for use in personal computers and other electronics gadgets to grab a 35 percent global market share in fiscal 2007 to next March 31, up from 29 percent in fiscal 2006.
