U.S. House committee passes 'comfort women' resolution
WASHINGTON, United States - The U.S. House of Representatives Foreign Affairs Committee meets on June 26 to adopt a resolution demanding an apology from Japan over the sexual exploitation of women in the Asia-Pacific region by the Japanese military during World War II. The nonbinding resolution was approved by a vote of 39-2.
