Japanese voters overseas go to polls for upper-house election
SYDNEY, Australia - A Japanese voter (C) receives a ballot for the House of Councillors election at a polling station at the Japanese Consulate General in Sydney on July 13 ahead of the official voting date of July 29 in Japan. It is the first upper house election in which Japanese voters abroad are allowed to vote for both candidates in prefectural constituencies and the nationwide proportional representation blocks, following changes in election regulations.
