Antiterrorist drill held in Hokkaido ahead of 2008 G-8 summit
SAPPORO, Japan - Police officers capture a suspected terrorist during an antiterrorist drill conducted at the Ishikari port in western Hokkaido on Oct. 11 as part of security training ahead of next year's Group of Eight summit at Lake Toya in Hokkaido. About 100 officers, customs agents and representatives from 12 other government agencies and companies took part in the drill, based on the scenario that a foreign vessel tried to smuggle explosives into Japan.
