Prime Minister Yasuo Fukuda, the poster boy
TOKYO, Japan - Prime Minister Yasuo Fukuda plays the role of ''poster boy '' in two political posters unveiled by the ruling Liberal Democratic Party on Nov. 6. Both posters seek to portray Fukuda, 71, as a ''solid, down-to-earth'' man. In the left poster, Fukuda promises to be ''trustworthy'' and ''sure and steady,'' and in the right poster he promises people will ''feel safe in daily life.'' LDP officials say the party has printed 60,000 of the posters, the first to feature the prime minister since he took office in September, for use nationwide.
