U.S. military jet's refueling stop at civilian airport irks Hokkaido

KUSHIRO, Japan - A small U.S. military jet from Alaska gets refueling at civilian Kushiro airport in eastern Hokkaido before heading to a U.S. base in Kanagawa Prefecture on Nov. 8. The landing irked the Hokkaido prefectural government that has been asking the U.S. military to limit the use of civilian airports for emergency only.
