Fukudome to play in majors from next season

TOYOTA, Japan - Japanese free agent outfielder Kosuke Fukudome tells reporters in Aichi Prefecture on Dec. 11 that he has opted to play in the major leagues from next season. The 30-year-old contacted the Chunichi Dragons the same day to say he will not play for a Japanese club.
