Asahi Breweries' Fukuchi elected NHK president

TOKYO, Japan - Asahi Breweries Ltd. adviser Shigeo Fukuchi speaks during a news conference on Dec. 25 after the management committee of Japan Broadcasting Corp., known as NHK, decided earlier in the day to appoint him as the new NHK president, replacing Genichi Hashimoto whose three-year term expires in January.
