Voting gets underway in Taiwan general election
TAIPEI, Taiwan - Taiwan voters cast their ballots at a voting station in Taipei on Jan. 12. Polling stations across Taiwan opened their doors to voters at 8 a.m.in a hotly contested general election that promises to reshape the self-ruled island's political landscape. At stake are 113 seats in the unicameral parliament.
