Mt. Fuji engulfed by mist of snow
FUJIYOSHIDA, Japan - Snow on the slopes of Mt. Fuji is kicked up by strong winds engulfing the mountain in a thick mist. This phenomenon of ''snow smoke'' is usually seen on Mt. Fuji on a cold, wintry day, according to officials in the city of Fujiyoshida, Yamanashi Prefecture. The temperature at the summit of Mt. Fuji dropped to minus 23.4 C on Feb. 13 and the weather observatory warned of strong winds in the prefecture.
