Fukuda vows to step up calls on U.S. for preventive steps over rape case
TOKYO, Japan - Okinawa Gov. Hirokazu Nakaima walks into the prime minister's office to meet with Prime Minister Yasuo Fukuda on Feb. 14. Nakaima said later Fukuda told him he will step up calls on the United States to tighten military discipline and take preventive measures in the wake of the alleged rape of a 14-year-old girl by a U.S. Marine.
