Japan launches rocket carrying high-speed communications satellite
TANEGASHIMA, Japan - A Japanese H-2A rocket carrying the satellite ''Kizuna'' for high-speed Internet communications lifts off at Tanegashima Space Center in Kagoshima Prefecture on Feb. 23. ''Kizuna'' is designed to conduct tests on high-capacity, high-speed data communications in mountainous regions and remote islands where building Internet infrastructure on the ground is deemed difficult.
