Tokyo marks 63rd anniversary of 1945 U.S. air raids
TOKYO, Japan - The Tokyo metropolitan government marks the 63rd anniversary of massive U.S. air raids in Tokyo during World War II on March 10 with a memorial service in memory of the 100,000 people who died in the bombings. Tokyo Gov. Shintaro Ishihara attended the service, along with Prince Hitachi (L), the younger brother of Emperor Akihito, and his wife Princess Hanako (next to Prince Hitachi).
